THE HAPPY HEAT IS HERE!
Happy summer to all. I don’t know if you’ve noticed the amazing front porches in Remington Park! If you are a walker, runner, rider or driver, take some time to admire the hard work many of your neighbors have dedicated to not only their front yards, but also their front porches. Many are adorned with beautiful wreaths, flags, potted plants and flowers plus much more. If you see a porch to admire, throw it on FB for all to see!
HOA DUES are DUE
The 2nd half of Remington Park HOA dues invoices were mailed a few weeks ago to each of your households and are currently due. As you may be aware, the HOA Board has elected to be more aggressive in payment collection than in past years due to some delinquencies in payment. If you elect not to pay your dues on time (or have back owed dues), they will submitted to a collection agency for collection. As you may know, that can certainly affect your credit score and many more things that keep homeowners up at night. Best advice, please pay your dues on time, and if you owe previous dues, please get them up to current. This will help our HOA finance some upcoming expenses that are required as maintenance. Super easy and there’s a link on the website, have your invoice handy for reference and simply pay online. If you’ve already paid HIGH FIVES!
UPCOMING MAINTENANCE FOR RP
That leads to the next discussion. Remington Park needs some major updates that have been postponed for the past few years. Covid and economic turn have been taken into consideration on the timing of these important improvements/repairs. We now need to proceed with maintenance to the Pool (plaster, tile, coping) and repair the pilot channel (between north and middle ponds) in late 2025/early 2026. The current estimate for these maintenance requirements is $150K for both (all have been scrupulously estimated, received bids, etc.). Please understand, these are not “wants” or niceties but are more “needs” especially since they have been postponed for a few years. Our current Reserves (or rainy-day funds) will not cover the total cost – the current reserve balance is $52K. To fund this effort, the board is considering a small $530 special assessment per home to do the work -- $265 paid in 2026 and $265 paid in 2027. This assessment will be voted upon by our HOA board during the next board meeting on July 8 (see below). I am confident you know what is needed to not only upkeep your homes, but our common areas as well that truly improve our home values and overall beauty of Remington Park.

SUMMER CLEANUP
Summer’s just hit but with all the rain we’ve had, things are a blooming! Please walk your yard to examine your sprinkler heads and ensure they are in working condition. The amount of wasted water each year is staggering. And there’s no reason to water our streets, they don’t need it.
Also, please walk your sidewalks. Are trees hitting your heads? Do you have to do a conga line to get low, low, low? Or is the front of your house camouflaged? If so, please trim back your trees. In fact, it is in our CCRs that trees need to be well above head level to accommodate foot traffic on the sidewalks and a tidy yard can deter unwanted critters!
THANKS TO ALL!
Special thank you to all our neighbors for support, positivity and a willingness to go the extra mile to make Remington Park the star of Colleyville. There are a lot of changes and improvements getting ready to launch in our fair city which will bring even more revenue, attention, maybe traffic (ugh) and value to our wonderful community. If you don’t subscribe to the Colleyville City Newsletter, do so, it’s very informative. We look forward to seeing you at the RP board meeting and on our paths. Don’t forget to wave!
