October 2025 Newsletter
Published: September 30, 2025

Happy Fall y’all! I hope everyone is enjoying the array of weather we are having and the oncoming fall – I can feel it. This month is full of area events worth highlighting! And, speaking of lighting, it’s not quite time to put up the holiday lights. Please remember we have enforceable rules on when to hang and illuminate your holiday ho ho homes!
2) Installation Timing
Christmas:
- Lights may be installed starting in late October/early November to accommodate professional installation company scheduling (yes, we see the signs out for vendors and our neighboring areas already hanging lights, but please wait a few weeks)
- Lights may be turned on no earlier than one week before Thanksgiving and must be turned off one week after New Year’s Day
- Lights must be removed by Jan. 31, following the Christmas holiday.
TRIM THE TREES
As we approach the “holiday” season, we not only trim the holiday trees, but it’s time to trim the exterior trees. Did you know this is not only a Remington Park policy but also a Colleyville City ordinance? We have a few that are tackling walkers and runners on the sidewalk (and some actually are forcing us to walk in the streets). Please take the time to walk your sidewalks, if you get smacked by your tree or can’t even see your house, please have your yard team (or your personal team), take a whack at them and clean them up. The City of Colleyville requirement is at least 8 feet above the sidewalks and 14 feet above the street and curbs. Happy Pruning!
UPCOMING HOA BOD MEETING
Everyone is invited to attend the HOA Board Meetings each quarter as well as our Annual Meeting in November. We have an established agenda we follow so it is buttoned up and productive.
Tuesday, October 7th at 7pm via Zoom.

Haunted Trails Returns to the Colleyville Nature Center, October 30
Calling all goblins and ghouls! Haunted Trails is coming back to the Colleyville Nature Center on October 30th! Throw on your walking shoes and great ready to be spooked. Zombies, witches, and clowns (oh my!) will be roaming the trails waiting to greet you as you walk by.

The Nature Center will open at 6:30 PM and have food trucks, a DJ, and treats for all. From 7 PM - 8:30 PM, we will allow those who think they are brave enough to embark on the haunted walk.
Unlike previous years, this rendition of Haunted Trails will be more trick than treat. Because we are catering this event to an older crowd, we are recommending it for pre-teens and older. If you think you have what it takes to face our spooky friends, we will see you on October 30th!
So much fun scheduled for the month! Hope to see you at the BOD meeting or any of the upcoming Colleyville events. Nonetheless, see you on the trails! Don’t forget to wave.
